Epic 50 Layer Cake Fail

After testing more than 1,000 cookbooks I still have tons of cooking fails.

I went into this recipe nervous because I had never made a crepe before. Crepes were always one of those things that I bought but never thought I could make.

Since I’m clearly crazy, I decided to go all in and made 50 crepes, for the most impressive cake I’ve ever seen.

Things were going great, until disaster struck. Watch to see a rollercoaster of emotions and my most epic cake fail.

These adorably spooky cookies are the perfect dessert to a Halloween dinner! When I made the dough it needed extra liquid to come together. I found doubling the amount of water called for worked perfectly. Pro tip: make sure the “fingers” are thinner than you think otherwise when they’re baked they look like mummies!

Cookbook Showdown: PIZZA!

I’m a huge Molly Yeh fan and both of her cookbooks are amazing. After thoroughly reading both I did notice two very similar salad pizzas. In Molly’s definition, salad pizza is when dressed greens are added to the top of cooked pizza.

In true showdown fashion, I followed each recipe to a tee. In the end, the Squash and Ricotta Pizza was named the winner. Both pizzas were delicious but the depth of flavor on the squash pizza is what blew me away in the end.
