6 steps to start cooking more!

1. MAKE IT YOUR HAPPY PLACE: Begin by creating a comfortable and organized area in your kitchen. Even a simple setup is enough - the key is to have a space where you feel at ease. Remember, a tidy kitchen is a happy kitchen!

2. SET COOKING GOALS: Take a moment to consider the why. Ask yourself: "Why do I want to cook more at home?" Whether itā€™s to eat healthier, save money, or simply enjoy the process of creating a meal, use this motivation to fuel your cooking journey.

3. START WITH THE BASICS: Focus on learning one new recipe at a time. Choose dishes that excite you and donā€™t require complicated techniques or hard to find ingredients. This approach will help you build confidence and enjoy the process without feeling overwhelmed.

4. EMBRACE MISTAKES: Every home cook makes mistakes, and thatā€™s perfectly fine! If a dish doesnā€™t turn out as expected, remind yourself that itā€™s a learning experience and order takeout!

5. CELEBRATE THE WINS: Take pride in the small achievements, like mastering a new technique or making a meal that your family loves.

6. PATIENCE IS KEY: Developing cooking skills takes time and practice. Start with short, manageable recipes and gradually increase the complexity of your dishes.

You've got this! Step into your kitchen with confidence and start creating culinary magic, one recipe at a time. Happy cooking! šŸ³šŸŒ±šŸ„˜

Not everything is perfect

Kitchen fails can be so frustrating because youā€™re hungry, with a sink full of dirty dishes and thereā€™s still nothing to eat.

This particular fail shocked me because it was one of my grandmotherā€™s handwritten recipes.

I truly have no memory of her making this one (my mother confirmed she didnā€™t either) but I figured it would be the perfect recipe for a cold winterā€™s night.

In the end we had to order take out!!!
