Breaking Up With Take Out
I’ve challenged myself to stop ordering out when I have a fridge full of things to cook!
Often my reason for ordering take out is that I’m tired and don’t want to make a complicated meal. This cookbook, One Pan, One Meal has been the key to my success.
Limiting the dishes is my winning negotiation to cooking vs calling. Also, I love that it teaches me take out classics like Butter Chicken.
Dang, That’s Good 😍

Unique factor: Author’s POV & story
Cookbooks just land differently for me when I can see the author’s heart and soul in it. I love her social content and new I had to have Spilling The Sweet Tea’s newest cookbook, Memories on a plate.
It shares the stories of her family inter mixed with recipes passed down from those family members. The recipes are easy to follow and ingredients are one’s you’ll find at your local market.
Sarah’s Test - I made her mini sweet potato pies and loved the flavor!

15 min lunch
There are some days that I get so busy, lunch is whatever snack I can reach for. I’m truly over that, so I’ve made a pact with myself that I will develop a handful of go to, fast lunches.
This one is less than 15 mins and is perfect for a cold day.
Before you start emailing me that store bought ramen noodles is not a good lunch, I would argue that it’s 700% better than a handful of chips. Plus, it can be made simple or elevated with chicken and spinach.
Give this one a try and say goodbye to boring/non existent lunches.
