Im convinced i can now plan and execute a party at this level #cookbooks #chickenpotpie #cookbookreview

I love a cookbook that doubles as a party planning guide. So Much To Celebrate bridges the gap between how to throw an amazing themed party and what delicious food to serve during the event. I tested the Chicken Pot Pie recipe and was blown away by the flavor. My husband is notorious for not being willing to taste test a pot pie (because he thinks they’re gross) and he loved this one! The recipe balanced the perfect mix of cooking with shortcuts (using rotisserie chicken) and cooking from scratch (all the crust was homemade). This is a must have if you love throwing parties!

cookbooks I thought I would hate but loved 💕💕 #cookbooks #TikTokCookbooks #recipe

I’ll admit that I can be a bit judgmental when it comes to what I think will be an amazing cookbook. These 3 cookbooks all exhibited the traits of what I thought would be a mediocre read and poor recipe writing. Boy was I surprised when I liked them all! Eat Like a Gilmore is perfect for any Gilmore Girl fan and has easy to follow recipes that make you feel like you’re in the show. As Cooked on TikTok has all of the best viral recipes and it links a QR code so that you can watch while you cook. The Wholesome Yum Easy Keto Cookbook has my favorite Keto recipes that are not only easy, but seriously flavorful.

I cant stop thinking about what happened to the sauce!! #cookbooks #tiktokcookbook #cookbookclub

I had such high hopes for this one that I made the recipe for a family event! Sadly, I took a gamble on the wrong cookbook and was disappointed by The Recipes of the Five Brothers. I should have started with research because the brand Five Brothers no longer exits. Even if the sauce isn’t for sale anymore, the recipes should still stand the test of time! My crab dip came out very one note and lacked the flavor to make it a crowd favorite. This one is getting taken off the cookbook shelf.

Zero flavor with this cookbook #cookbook #cookbookreview

What a week of bad cookbooks! I had low expectations with No Salt, No Sugar, No Fat (C’mon those are all the bases of good cooking!) and was not shocked when the recipe came out bland and difficult to eat. Even if I had to eliminate salt, sugar and fat from my diet, there’s still better cookbooks that build flavor and make eating fun!
